11 minors rescued under Op Muskan

Ambala, February 3

The anti-human trafficking unit of the State Crime Branch, Panchkula, and Child Line, Ambala, have rescued 11 minor kids from the Ambala City and Ambala Cantonment, under ‘Operation Muskan’ on Monday.

As per information, six children, including three sisters were rescued from the Ambala City, five kids were rescued from railway station, Ambala Cantonment.

ASI Rajesh Kumar, said, “Under Operation Muskan, three minor sisters between three and five years were found picking plastic bottles in the Ambala City. Father of the girls is a labourer and he has been warned of stern action. The girls were handed over to the family.”

“A 14-year-old boy was found from the railway station. He is a resident of Bihar and was missing from the past eight months. We have informed his family. Of the remaining rescued kids, a boy belongs to Karnal, one each is from Allahabad and Muradabad. Four boys are from Ambala,” he said.

The children were produced before the Child Welfare Committee and shifted to Bal Bhavan. — TNS
