The Chandigarh Police today celebrated the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with a vibrant display of patriotism and unity.
A 12-km procession of PCR vehicles, including 11 four-wheelers, 45 two-wheelers and one ambulance, was highlight of the function. Each vehicle was adorned with the National Flag, creating a colourful spectacle as the cavalcade moved through all police divisions before culminating at the Sector 42 lake.
UT DGP Dr Sagar Preet Hooda flagged off the rally in front of the Vigilance Office at Police Headquarters, Sector 9. It took about 45 minutes for the rally to reach the Sector 42 lake. Senior officials, including IGP Pushpendra Kumar, SSP Kanwardeep Kaur, SSP (Traffic & Security) Sumer Pratap Singh, SP (Operations & Cyber Crime) Geetanjali Khandewal and SP (Headquarters & Intelligence) Manjeet Sheoran, were present on the occasion.
In Panchkula, a Tricolour March was organised under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign by the District Administration at Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector 3, in the evening. Led by Mayor Kulbhushan Goyal, the march honoured the sacrifices of martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for India’s independence. The event saw enthusiastic participation, particularly from the youth, who pledged to hoist the National Flag atop their homes.
