Armanjot Singh, the only son of his parents, had sustained a minor injury in his mouth and was taken to the hospital for treatment where doctors suggested a surgery on May 1. The victim lost consciousness barely 10 minutes into the surgery. Doctors rushed him to another private hospital where he remained on ventilator for 15 days but died yesterday. Family members sought a probe into the alleged the role of a government hospital doctor in the incident.

On the statement of the deceased’s father, a case has been registered at the Kharar police station. DSP Karam singh Sandhu said, “The post-mortem has been conducted and based on expert opinion, further action will be initiated.”
