13 arrested for immoral trafficking in Zirakpur

Zirakpur, January 12

The police arrested 13 persons for immoral trafficking at a hotel at Patiala Chowk here today. The police received information that Pankaj Singh and his wife Uma Singh, residents of Lakshmipur Colony in Barabanki district in UP, and Bhupinder Kaur of Behbalpur in Garshankar tehsil were involved in immoral trafficking.

Zirakpur SHO Onkar Singh Brar conducted a raid at the hotel and arrested 13 persons, indentified as Ghanshyam Soni, Shridhar Divedi, Rahul Tiwari, Aditya Kamboj, Gursewak Singh, Naman Bhuteja, Rakesh Rawat, Rohit Saini, Ram Krishan, Kamlesh, Rohit Chauhan, Uma Singh and Bhupinder Kaur. A case has been registered under Sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic Act at the Zirakpur police station. One of the suspects, Pankaj, is absconding. — TNS
