Thirteen students of government schools in the district have cleared the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET).
Stating this while addressing mediapersons here today, MLA Lakhbir Singh Rai said the state government not only strengthened the infrastructure of government schools but also provided world-class facilities to the students studying there.
Those who have been successful in NEET are Bhumika of GGSS School-Sirhind Mandi, Gurleen Kaur of GSSS-Rupalhedi, Tisha Sethi of School of Eminence-Khamanon, Gurjot Singh of GSSS-Sangatpur Sodhian, Gursimran Kaur of Government SSSS-Chanarthal Kalan, Parneet Kaur of School of Eminence-Khamanon, Amanjot Kaur of GSSS-Badali Ala Singh, Prabhpreet Kaur of GSSS-Kallour, Shivam of PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School (Boys)-Mandi Gobindgarh, Ravjot Singh of School of Eminence-Khamanon, Komalpreet Kaur of Government SSS-Salana and Deepakiran Kaur and Tanisha.
Rai claimed that ever since AAP came to power in Punjab, government schools had seen all-round development and parents were taking their children out of private schools and enrolling them in government schools.
