13 hoteliers in Ambala booked

Thirteen hotel operators under the jurisdiction of Parao police station in Ambala Cantonment have been booked for various violations, including running hotels without obtaining the CLU, registration, building certificate and violating the Covid-19 guidelines.

As per the information, suspecting immoral activities, operations without required permissions and violation of Covid norms, the police yesterday inspected the hotels in the jurisdiction of Paro police station and found gross violations being committed by the operators.

Based on the complaint of constable Rajeev, a case was registered against the violators under Sections 188, 269 and 270 of the IPC and 51b of the Disaster Management Act at the Parao police station.

Karambir, Sanjeev Gupta, Idra Singh, Amit, Sunny Gupta, Sunil Jain, Rajesh Garg, Vinay Kumar Sondia, Vijay Kumar, Kuldeep, Kunal, Vijay Kumar and Rajiv Sharma were booked by the police.

The police today also inspected hotels in other areas of Ambala Cantonment.

Appropriate action will be taken against operators for running their hotels without required permissions, said the police. — TNS
