13-year-old boy falls into Chandigarh's Sukhana Choe, dies

Chandigarh, April 3
A 13-year-old died on Saturday after he allegedly slipped into Sukhana Choe near Kishangarh here.
The teenager was identified as Sumit, a resident of Surajpur. He was in town visiting his uncle over the vacations.
According to the locals, the deceased was standing near the Choe when his foot slipped and fell into the 20-feet Choe.
Rescuers and fire department officials were pressed into action.
The boy’s body was retrieved after 20 minutes, officials said.
The teenager was rushed to the GMSH-16 where he was declared brought dead.
