Mohali: The district on Saturday recorded 17 fresh cases of Covid-19, including 15 personnel of the Border Security Force campus in village Lakhnaur. Civil Surgeon Dr Adarshpal Kaur said samples would be sent for further testing to know whether anyone from the security forces was infected with Omicron variant. There was no fresh fatality due to the virus while four patients were cured of the disease. A case each was reported from Kharar and Mohali (urban). —TNS

10 cases in Chandigarh

Chandigarh: The city on Saturday reported 10 cases of Covid-19 and no death due to the virus. Eight more patients have got the better of the disease. The city has so far seen 65,764 cases. While 64,581 patients have recovered from the disease, 105 cases are still active. —TNS

Panchkula: The district reported nine fresh cases of coronavirus on Saturday, taking the overall tally to 30,938. While 30,505 patients have recovered from the infectious disease, 52 cases are still active. —TNS
