15 patients discharged from Sec 24 mini-Covid care centre

A total of 15 patients were discharged from a mini-Covid care centre set up by Competent Foundation and Bharat Vikas Parishad at Indira Holiday Home, Sector 24, here.

All discharged patients, including a 10-year-old boy, are from the tricity. Sanjay Tandon, president of the foundation, and Ajay Dutta, director of the centre and nominated councillor, bid them farewell with a hygiene kit, wishing them a healthy future ahead.

The discharged patients pledged to wear face masks, follow social distancing norms and make people aware of Covid-appropriate behaviour. Tandon said seven other Covid patients would also be discharged from the centre on May 30. This 47-bed centre with continuous oxygen facility was made operational on May 5.

Meanwhile, Priya Tandon, on behalf of the Competent Foundation, handed over 10-litre oxygen concentrator to centre in-charge Arunesh Aggarwal. ALPLA Company in collaboration with Guardian Educational Welfare Society presented 100 boxes of personal hygiene kits under the leadership of Amit Rana.
