The 15 double-storey shops allotted by the Punjab Mandi Board in the main vegetable and fruit market in Phase-11 were handed over to the allottees today by Advocate Govinder Mittal, Chairman of Market Committee Mohali.
Mittal, Chairman of Market Committee, Mohali, met the allottees at his office and congratulated them for getting possession. He assured all possible support to the wholesale sellers of fruits and vegetables and asked the aarthis to start work as soon as possible so that the people of this region can get the benefits of this market.
Notably, significant efforts went into getting the mandi up and running despite it being ready for a long time. With arhtiyas from Chandigarh and Panchkula buying the shops, is is getting closer to seeing the light of day.
