15-yr jail for man held with smack
A local court has sentenced Bhura to undergo 15-year-imprisonment in an NDPS case registered two years ago. The court has also imposed a fine of Rs 1.50 lakh on the convict.
The police arrested the accused near the Mani Majra sports complex on August 18, 2022, with 5 gm smack and 12 buprenorphine injections. He failed to show any licence or permit to keep the same. After investigation the police filed the charge-sheet against the accused under Section 20 and 21 of the NDPS Act.
After hearing the arguments, the court convicted the accused under the charges framed against him and also imposed a fine of Rs 1.50 lakh on him.
