The NCC “A” certificate examination was organised at the PM Shri Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Mauli, with 112 Junior Division and 56 Junior Wing cadets appearing for it.

The examination was conducted under the leadership of Major Neelima Gaur, Administrative Officer, 1 Haryana Battalion NCC Ambala Cantt, following the guidance of Colonel Parminder Singh, Commanding Officer, 2 Haryana Battalion NCC Ambala Cantt.

The exam began with a written test, followed by practical assessments including drill tests, weapon assembly, target practice, and map reading. These activities aim to evaluate the cadets’ skills and preparedness.

NCC Officer Satpal from Government Model Sanskrit Senior Secondary School, Narayangarh, highlighted the significance of the NCC certificate, stating it provides cadets with additional marks during recruitment for various Indian Army posts. —TNS
