Chandigarh: A 17-year-old girl, a Class XII student, died after falling from the roof of her house at Kishangarh under mysterious circumstances on Wednesday night. The police said the victim had gone to the roof and later she was found lying on the ground. The police were informed and the girl was rushed to the GMSH, Sector 16, where she succumbed to the injuries during treatment. No suicide note was found from the spot. TNS

Chandigarh: As many as 32,740 students appeared for ongoing PU online examinations on Day 4 on Thursday. A total of 24 question papers were uploaded in the morning slot and approximately 14,359 students took exams, while 18 question papers were uploaded in the evening slot for 18,381 students. TNS
Free Urdu classes
Chandigarh: Free Urdu classes began at Goswami Ganesh Dutta Sanatan Dharma College, Sector 32, here on Thursday. The course duration will be six months and the class timings will be from 5.15 pm to 6.15 pm at the college. Students from Chandigarh and Panchkula will be eligible to take admission. The interested candidates can contact the assistant director, Hindi/Punjabi Cell, Civil Secretariat-2, Sector 9, on any working day or the Urdu language teacher at the college during the class hours. Chandigarh: Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences and the Women Redressal Cell organised a debate on “women safety” at Desh Bhagat University.
