Chandigarh, April 13

Two persons have been booked by the UT police for trespass, rioting and using criminal force to deter a public servant from the discharge of his duty.

According to the police, the complainant, Karanbir Singh Dhillon, a resident of Sector 3, alleged that Devinder Singh, alias Koka, a resident of Sector 18, and Kamlesh Kumar of Kaimbwala village, along with others, trespassed on his land at Kaimbwala on April 12.

The incident led to high drama following which the police were informed. A police team from the Sector 3 police station, including the SHO, reached the spot.

The in-charge of the Sukhna lake police post and the SHO of the Sector 17 police station also reached there to control the situation.

It is alleged that the suspects threatened the complainant and also deterred the police from the discharge of their duty.

The police have registered a case under Sections 452, 323, 332, 353, 147, 148, 149 and 506 of the IPC at the Sector 3 police station.
