The Western Command celebrated International Women’s Day by organising a range of activities focusing on women’s health, wellness, self-reliance and career opportunities over two days at Chandimandir Military Station. The celebrations commenced with an insightful discussion on women’s health, wellness and nutrition, where experts shared practical advice on maintaining a healthy lifestyle.

A blood donation camp was also held in coordination with Command Hospital, Chandimandir. The Army Wives Welfare Association organised an in-house ‘Vanita Swavalamban Mela’ to showcase and promote the entrepreneurial spirit of Army women. It featured a variety of handmade products, highlighting the creativity and ability of women to achieve economic independence. The Army Welfare Placement Organisation hosted a walk-in interview specifically for women, empowering them to pursue meaningful careers.
