Mohali, December 10

Two days after four miscreants took away the car of Rajesh Tripathi, Additional Secretary, Information and Technology, at gunpoint near the road dividing Sectors 86 and 87 on Wednesday night, the police are still groping in the dark. They are still relying on the CCTV footage of the area to identify the miscreants.

Four car-borne youth took away the car of a PCS officer near the road dividing Sectors 86 and 87 around 10:45 pm on Wednesday.

The police said the miscreants waylaid him while he was returning to his home in Sector 88. Three youths took away the car from him at gunpoint and fled the spot.

DSP (City-2) Sukhjeet Singh said: “We have formed teams to nab the suspects. However, no arrest has been made so far.” — TNS
