2 more held for running illegal LPG refilling unit

The Operations Cell of the Chandigarh Police has arrested two more persons in connection with an illegal LPG cylinder refilling racket operating in the tricity. On May 14, eight persons were arrested after the police raided the LPG refilling setup near Mango Street in Dariya village.

The two main suspects, who had evaded arrest, were finally arrested. Sehsal Singh alias Pinku (39), a resident of Dariya, was arrested on May 17, while Manoj Kumar (29), also a resident of Dariya, was nabbed on May 18.

Authorities had also seized 545 commercial and domestic gas cylinders, three electronic weighing machines and 24 refilling motors. The operation was conducted under the guidance of Geetanjali Khandelwal, SP Operations, and the supervision of Vikas Sheokand, DSP Operations.
