2 women among three walk free in murder bid case
A local court has acquitted two women Harsimrat Kaur and Simran Kaur and Jaanu Malik, all residents of Dadu Majra, arrested in an attempt to murder case after the prosecution failed to prove the charges.
The police had registered the case against the accused on the complaint of a person, Gursewak. The latter had said that he was working as a security guard in Sector 8, Chandigarh. He said he had three sisters. He alleged that two of her sisters Harsimrat and Simran came to meet him and started quarreling with him and even called their friends. One of their friends took out a weapon from his pocket and fired a shot, which hit him on his foot.
Arun Vohra, counsel of the accused, argued that the accused had been falsely implicated and the complainant had also not supported the case of the prosecution. After hearing the arguments the court acquitted the accused.
