The Chandigarh Industrial and Tourism Development Corporation (CITCO) will celebrate World Tourism Day by offering 20 per cent discount in all restaurants of Hotel Mountview and Shivalikview.

World Tourism Day is celebrated on September 27 every year to create awareness about the importance of tourism and its social and cultural value among the national and international community. This year’s theme is ‘Tourism and Rural Development’ as countries across the world depend on the sector to drive recovery.

The official spokesperson of the corporation said, “Every year, CITCO celebrates World Tourism Day in its own style by offering 20 per cent discount in all restaurants of Hotel Mountview and Shivalikview to commemorate this day. The discount will be offered to all guests and patrons.” — TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
