Panchkula, July 22
The district today reported 27 fresh cases of Covid. Six of them are outsiders.
Those who tested positive include 18 persons from urban areas of Panchkula, two from Barwala and one from Raipur Rani.
The media bulletin report didn’t mention the details of the patients for unknown reasons. Health officials didn’t respond to the query seeking the reason for the exclusion of the patients’ details from the report.
Two patients each from Delhi and Chandigarh and one each from Dhakoli and Kharar tested positive in the district.
Panchkula death wasn’t due to Covid
- The death of a 76-year-old woman from Sector 12, which was being earlier considered as Panchkula’s only fatality due to the disease, does not reflect in the official death toll of the district anymore. The woman had died on July 2.
- According to the bulletin, the woman died due to chronic renal disease (Stage 5) and she was declared Covid negative before death.
