25 illegal travel agents arrested in Fatehgarh Sahib

The district police have registered cases against 35 illegal travel agents, arrested 25 of them after conducting raids and search operations. Ten travel agents who have fled abroad will be arrested soon, the police said.

SP (Investigation) Rakesh Yadav said as per the directions of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and DGP Gaurav Yadav, the police, raids were conducted on illegal travel agents. He said the premises of 65 travel agents across the district were checked. Of these, 25 centres were found closed. People should only contact government-approved agents, he added.
