270 boxes of beer stolen
Chandigarh, March 23
A total of 270 boxes of beer were stolen from a truck parked outside a godown at Industrial Area Phase 1, Chandigarh, on the intervening night of March 22-23. The truck could not be unloaded due to the Janata Curfew following which the theft took place. Complainant truck driver Naresh Kumar had arrived from Paonta Sahib, Himachal Pradesh. He parked the truck outside the godown at plot no 666, from where the theft took place. The police registered a case. The CCTV footage was scrutinised in which one of the accused Krishna of Colony No 4 was identified. According to the police, efforts are on to nab the suspect. — TNS
