More than 280 advocates have been awarded enrolment certificates at a function held at the Diwan Atma Ram Auditorium, Law Bhawan, here today.
Guest of honour Baldev Raj Mahajan, Advocate General, Haryana, distributed certificates among the advocates.
Chief guest Sukh Dhaliwal, Canadian MP and businessman, said there was no substitute of hard work. He advised the new entrants to have patience and work hard to achieve the goal of practice to perfection.
Earlier, Harpreet Singh Brar, Chairman of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, advised the new entrants to maintain dignity of the profession during practice and extended his words of wisdom to the entrants.
Gurtej Singh Grewal, vice-chairman, CM Munjal, former chairman and chairman, enrolment committee, Jai Vir Yadav, former chairman and chairman, executive committee, and Lekh Raj Sharma, former chairman, bar council, were among those present on the occasion. The Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana was established under the Advocates Act, 1961, and since its inception it has on its roll more than one lakh advocates.
