3 booked for abducting girl

Ambala: A young girl was reportedly abducted by three persons in Naraingarh. According to the police, a woman had reported that Gaurav, Sachin and Zail Singh had abducted her daughter on March 1. The police have lodged a case of abduction against the trio and launched a manhunt to trace the abducted girl. TNS

Five injured in mishap

Ambala: Five persons, including a woman sustained serious injuries when an overspeeding car hit a motorcycle in Mullana. According to information, Mam Chand of Mullana, had reported to the police that a recklessly driven car hit his motorcycle near Dosarka village, leaving him, his wife, Vaibhav, Simran and Gagan seriously injured. The police have registered a case against the car driver. The injured were admitted at hospital. TNS

Man held for Molestation

Ambala: The police have arrested Randhir alias Beera, for molesting and criminal intimidation of a woman. According to the police, a woman had reported to the police on February 28 that Randhir on August 8 last year, had molested her. The suspect was produced before a court, which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody. TNS

Man held with stolen phone

Ambala: The police have arrested Vipin alias Puneet, alias Punnu, a resident of Ambala City, and claimed to recover a stolen mobile phone from him. According to the police, Shiv Kumar, a resident of Ambala City, had reported to the police that Vipin had stolen his mobile phone from his home. The suspect was produced before a court, which remanded him to 14-day judicial custody. TNS

Proclaimed offender caught

Ambala: The police have arrested a proclaimed offender. The accused has been identified as Suresh Kumar, a resident of Karnal, who was wanted in a criminal case registered against him at Ambala Sadar police station. According to the police, the accused was evading arrest ever since he was booked by the police following which the court had declared him proclaimed offender. The arrested fugitive will be produced before a court on Wednesday. TNS

Seven head of cattle rescued

Ambala: The police have arrested two persons – Sohan Lal of Fatehgarh Sahib and Imran of Saharanpur (Uttar Pradesh), for cruelty to animals and claimed to have recovered seven cattle which they were smuggling. According to the police, the suspects were arrested after a Mahindra Balero jeep was intercepted at a check-post in Mahesh Nagar. The suspects were produced before a court, which ordered to release them on bail. TNS

Two persons go missing

Ambala: Two persons had reportedly gone missing from their respective places. According to the police, Satish Kumar, a resident of Ambala Cantonment, had reported to the police that his brother, Lakshman Dass (28), had left home on February 1, but did not return as yet. In a separate case, a woman of Saha had reported that her 36-year-old husband had been missing from February 28. The police have lodged missing person’s reports. TNS
