‘Abhivyakti-2024’, a three-day literary festival being organised by the Army Wives Welfare Association (AWWA), began at the Chandimandir Military Station today, with a host of authors and writers from across the country sharing their works, experiences and thoughts.
Themed ‘Explore, Express and Experience’, the event was inaugurated by AWWA President Sunita Dwivedi.
In a session on ‘Timeless Voices: Celebrating Women Writers and Contributions of Army Spouses’, panellists presented their experiences on life in the service, the challenges faced by them and achievements in the face of adversity. In a session on ‘Mythical Modernity: Indian Legends Re-imagined’, participants stressed the need for balance between different socio-cultural perspectives.
Unexplored dimensions of Indian civilisation and culture, motherhood, financial planning and creative writing were among the other topics that were deliberated upon. Earlier, in his keynote address, Boman Irani, an actor, filmmaker and photographer, delved into the challenges one faced in life and the ways to deal with them.
