The district witnessed three Covid fatalities today, taking the toll to 151. It also saw 278 fresh cases, while 236 patients were cured of the disease.

The Civil Surgeon, Dr Manjit Singh, said a 55-year-old man from Kharar died at a Sohana hospital. He was suffering from kidney and lung diseases. An 80-year-old man from Desumajra died at Gian Sagar Hospital in Banur, while a 60-year-old woman from Badana village died at the Civil Hospital, Ambala. All patients had comorbidities, he said.

Among the fresh cases, 73 were reported from Mohali (urban), 26 from Kharar, 69 from Gharuan, 71 from Dhakoli, 14 from Dera Bassi, four from Lalru. — TNS
