The Mohali police have arrested three members of a robbers’ gang with illegal weapons and stolen vehicles, an official said on Thursday.

The accused have been identified as Jaspreet Singh alias Jassi, a resident of Jhandi Wala village; Gurpreet Singh, a resident of Saraiali village, and Balkaran Singh, a resident of Tarsingh Wala village, Ferozepur district.

SSP Sandeep Singh Garg said, “The police have arrested three members of a gang involved in the robbery. The gang was involved in incidents of robbery and theft at various places in the district.”

“Two motorcycles, a pistol, two cartridges, five mobile phones and other stolen items have been recovered from them,” said the official.

A case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the BNS and Arms Act at Balongi police station.
