Mohali, September 29

Mohali district witnessed three fatalities due to Covid during the past 24 hours, taking the death count to 189. Besides, 132 new cases of coronavirus surfaced in the district, taking the tally to 10,253.

Civil Surgeon Manjeet Singh said a 79-year-old woman from Sector 70 died at Ivy Hospital, a 30-year-old man from Kadi Majra, who was suffering from cirrhosis of liver and ALD, succumbed at Cheema Medical Complex and a 35-year-old woman from Modern Enclave, Baltana, breathed her last at Alchemist Hospital in Panchkula.

The Civil Surgeon said 115 new cases were reported from Mohali (urban), six from Kharar, five each from Dera Bassi and Gharuan and one from Lalru. He said 336 more persons had been cured in the district.
