30-year-old man dies in hit-&-run

Mohali, October 2

A 30-year-old man was killed on the spot when a rashly-driven truck hit the motorcycle he was riding pillion near the K-Area in Baltana late on Friday night.

The deceased has been identified as Dharminder Singh, a resident of village Nagla Bagh in Budaun district of UP and presently living at Nabha Sahib village.

In his complaint to the police, the victim’s friend Dharminder of Baltana, who was driving the bike, said the truck ran over his friend before speeding away. Since it was dark, he could not note down its registration number. — TNS
