31,000 devotees pay obeisance at Mansa Devi temple on Day 2 of Navratri fest

On the second day of the Ashwin Navratri fair, devotees offered donations worth Rs 23,32,801 across the Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Shri Kali Mata Temple in Kalka, and Chandi Mata Temple. At the Mansa Devi shrine alone, over 31,000 devotees paid obeisance.

Special CTU bus service to Barwala from today

Chandigarh: The Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has announced that a special bus service from the ISBT-17, Chandigarh, to Barwala via Bhanbhori Mata temple will be provided from September 24 to October 1, exclusively for pilgrims visiting the shrine during the Navratras. The bus service will start at 6.55 am from the ISBT-17 and at 12.45 pm from Barwala. The one side fare will be Rs 270 per person.

Satpal Sharma, Deputy Commissioner and Chief Administrator of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board, said offerings of Rs 17,42,840 were made at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple, Rs 4,09,791 at Shri Kali Mata Temple and Rs 1,80,170 at Chandi Mata Temple. Besides, four gold items and 41 silver articles were presented at Shri Mata Mansa Devi Temple while Shri Kali Mata Temple in Kalka received 35 silver items.

A legal awareness stall has been set up at the Mata Mansa Devi Navratri Mela following the directions of the Haryana State Legal Services Authority and under the supervision of Ved Parkash Sirohi, District & Sessions Judge-cum-Chairman, District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Panchkula, to inform devotees about their legal rights and the welfare schemes of the authority.
