321 nominations filed for panchayat samiti zones in Mohali dist

A total of 321 nominations have been filed for 52 zones of the Kharar, Dera Bassi, and Majri till the end of the nomination process for the election to panchayat samitis in Mohali district. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development)-cum-Additional District Election Officer Sonam Choudhary, informed that 22 nominations were received yesterday, while 299 nominations were filed today, taking the total to 321.

Seventy-eight nominations were filed for the 15 zones of Kharar panchayat samiti, while 94 were received for the 15 zones of Majri panchayat samiti, Choudhary said. The 22 zones of Dera Bassi panchayat samiti had received a total of 149 nominations, Choudhary said.

Choudhary added that the scrutiny of nominations would be conducted on December 5. The last date for withdrawal of valid nominations by candidates was December 6, Choudhary said.
