36-yr-old-woman cheated of gold chain, earrings

A 36-year-old woman of Sector 33 was allegedly cheated of her gold chain and earrings by three unknown persons in Sector 45.

According to the complainant, she had gone to Burail for some work when a man approached her, claiming to know about the problems in her life. Initially, she ignored him. As she went a little further ahead, she noticed the same man speaking to two men, making similar claims.

The suspect convinced them to hand over their gold chains for a ritual, which he would later return. He then approached the complainant again and assured her that he would give her some sand to throw near a dargah as part of the ritual.

The woman handed over her jewellery and went towards the dargah. But, when she returned, she found all three missing. A case has been registered.
