37-year-old biker killed in hit-&-run

A 37-year-old biker died after he was hit by a car near Nabha Sahib Gurdwara on the Zirakpur-Patiala road on Thursday morning.
The deceased, identified as Vipan Kumar (37), was a native of Hamirpur (HP). He lived at Wadhwa Nagar in Baltana.

Vipan, who is survived by his wife and two children, was employed with a firm running catering service. He was going on his bike from Zirakpur to Patiala side when the car hit him. The car driver reportedly fled the spot, leaving behind his vehicle.
The biker was taken to a private hospital and where the doctors referred him to the GMCH-32. The doctors declared him dead on arrival. A hit-and-run case has been registered at the Zirakpur police station.
