3BRD log win in senior state hockey meet

The team of 3BRD pumped in eight goals to claim full points against ITBP, during the ongoing Senior State Hockey Championships, at the Sector 42 Sports Complex.

Lovedeep stunned the rivals by converting a penalty corner in the 2nd minute, while Ajit (13th, 44th), Dilip (15th), Jatinder (48th), Cariappa (50th), Sumit (54th) and Nitesh (59th) were the other scorers for the side.

In the second match, Sri Guru Gobind Singh Hockey Club, Sector 26, posted a 9-0 win over Rock Rovers Hockey Club. Harpanthpreet (10th, 13th, 31st) scored three goals for the winning side, while Fateh (23rd, 36th) and Gurjinder (28th, 30th) scored a goal each.

Anagadbir opened the team’s account in the 4th minute, while Karambir added one to the tally in the 56th minute.

In the women’s category, the Sector 26 team posted a 2-0 win over Panjab University Hockey Club as Tamanna (8th) Anmoldeep 935th) contributed a goal each. Rock Rovers Hockey Club defeated Chandigarh Hockey Academy eves 4-1. Komal opened the team’s account in the 20th minute, while Anita doubled the lead in the 30th minute.

Khsuhpreet pulled off one from the academy team in the 36th minute, but Sujata (50th) and Komal (52nd minute) ensured an easy win for the side.

Meanwhile, in the men’s category, AG Punjab defeated SGGS Club (Red) 6-0. Sandeep (15th) scored through a penalty stroke to open the team’s account, while Gurmukh (39th, 49th) added two goals in the tally, Vijender (28th), Deepanshu (44th) and Chandeep (60th) also contributed by scoring a goal each.

SGGSH Club (Blue) stunned AG Haryana 5-3 in a well contested match. The club team was the first to drew the blood, as Maninder scored a field goal in the 3rd minute.

However, the AG Haryana team bounced with the help of Amandeep (17th) and Jasdeep (20th).

The club team didn’t lose their temper and managed to find back-to-back goals, as Gurjinder (44th, 49th) and Angadbir (44th, 45th) scored a brace each. Mohit scored a consolation goal for AG Haryana in last minute of the match.
