The police said they had a tip-off that members of the gang, who were involved in several snatching cases in Delhi, were active in the city.

On the basis of the information, crime branch sleuths laid a trap at Ram Darbar and nabbed two persons, identified as Anil and Hari Parkash, both residents of Shamli district in UP. The police said their arrest led to information about two other gang members, who were involved in snatching incidents in the city.

A police official said they laid a naka near the Sector 11 underbridge and nabbed the other two gang members, identified as Ajay Kumar from Ludhiana and Rajiv, alias Raju from Shamli district. The police said the duo was riding a stolen motorcycle with a fake number affixed to it. It was found that the bike was stolen from Delhi and a case about the theft was already registered there.
