With 422 fresh cases, the city saw the highest spike of the current wave on Friday. This is the second-highest single-day spike since the pandemic struck. The city also saw four deaths. The active cases have reached 3,213, while the number was 3,171 in the earlier peak. At that time, the highest single-day caseload was 449. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
