Raju Khanna, the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) halqa in-charge for the Amloh constituency, on Saturday flagged off trucks carrying 400 quintals of wheat seeds to assist flood-affected farmers in Ajnala. The seeds are intended to cover 1,000 acres of farmland damaged by recent floods.

Addressing mediapersons, Khanna said while the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) could not compensate for the losses caused by the floods across Punjab in recent weeks, party leaders and workers under the leadership of president Sukhbir Singh Badal had been consistently providing relief materials for the past two months.
