Cultural function, performances and competitions marked the conclusion of the three-day Rose Festival at Rose Garden, Sector 16 today evening.
Mayor Raj Bala Malik and Municipal Corporation Commissioner KK Yadav distributed prizes to the winners.
Malik lauded efforts of all the team of officers to make the Rose Fest a big success. Ravi Kant Sharma, Senior Deputy Mayor, councillors and senior officials were present during the prize distribution function.
On the third day, a Live Band Show was organised and a magic show was held by famous magician Pardeep Kumar.
Gatka was presented by Darshan Singh and his team from Mani Majra.
The day started with classical musical performance by Swar Ragini Mestro Pt Subhash Ghosh, who dedicated his performance as a tribute to Indian soldiers and enthralled audience with a special presentation “Basant”.
On the spot painting competitions were also held during the day. Aryan Raj, in disability category stood first consecutively in the Rose Festival for the past four years.

Group ‘A’ (Age 5-8 Years): Anshika, Kashvi Garg, and Pranav Pal bagged the first, second and third prize, respectively, while Pranika Goyal got the consolation prize
Group ‘B’ (Age 8-11 Years): Ojasvi Aggarwal, Bhavini, and Ayushi Gupta secured the first, second and third prize, respectively, while Bhavya got consolation prize.
Group ‘C’ (Age 12-14 Years): Rituraj, Intaj Ali and Sanaya Kansal got the first, second and third prize, respectively, while Kareena got consolation prize
Group ‘D’ (Age 15-17 Years): Krishan Kumar, Mumtaj Ali and Swati bagged the first, second and third prize while consolation prize was given to Pranjal Goel
Group ‘E’ S/A (P) Harsh, Sumit and Rishabh Rana got the first, second and third prize, respectively, while consolation prize went to Sandali
Group ‘F’ S/A (I) Aryan Raj, Sanskriti Aggarwal and Aryan secured the first, second and third prize, respectively and consolation prize to Sonia
In antkashri Himanshi Saini and Sonam of Governemnt College for Education, Sector 20, Chandigarh, bagged the first position, Subham Rathore and Ronika, of Bsc. M.L.T., PGIMER, secured the second position while Pallavi Thakur and Aarti of Govt. Home Science College, Sector 10, got the third prize.
