5 areas in Dera Bassi turned into containment zone

Dera Bassi, May 18
Mirpur village in Dera Bassi has been turned into a major containment zone after 15 Covid cases were detected in the area.
Devinagar village, SBP housing society, Adarsh Colony, College road colony have been declared as minor containment zones.
Officials said random sampling in these areas would begin soon.
Besides, samples would be taken at markets and residential areas.
Officials said the lockdown would be implemented strictly and persons roaming without any valid reasons would be sampled.
On being found Covid positive, they would be penalised.
