Five houses were burgled in broad daylight within four hours at Kendriya Vihar, Sunny Enclave, Kharar, yesterday.

Local residents said thieves had no fear of the police, as hardly any patrolling was carried out in the area.

Meanwhile, two thieves stole ornaments and cash from a flat at Golden Palm Premium Colony near Dera Bassi. House owner Sanjeev Kumar said the theft occurred around 11:20 pm and the thieves were caught on a CCTV camera.
