Three members of a family, including a five-year-old girl, were injured in a head-on collision between two cars near the Omaxe housing complex in New Chandigarh on Tuesday. A woman, her child another family member were injured when two cars collided on a single lane road. The driver of the other car, too, suffered injuries and was rushed to the nearby hospital.

Ritesh Sehgal, a businessman, said, “Accidents happen frequently on this road as it is single lane. One side of the road is permanently blocked. Heavy vehicles also take this road. It has been nine years but the developers have failed to complete the road. In winter, dense fog makes things worse.”
