The Department of Personnel has directed the HoDs to make sure that 50 per cent of Group B, C and D employees were required to attend the office every day.

The order further advised the HoDs to draft a weekly roaster of duty for the employees and ask them attend office on alternate weeks. While deciding the roaster for the first week, the HoDs have been advised to include officials living in close proximity to their office or use their own transport for travelling to the office.

The order further said that the working hours of all employees who attend office on a particular day should be in three shifts. Those working from home should be available on telephone.

However, these instructions would not apply to the offices and employees engage in essential/emergency services and those directly engage in controlling Covid-19. — TNS
