59-year-old run over by train

A 59-year-old native of Bihar, Bajinder Mandal, died after being run over by a train near Mohali railway station around 7 am today.

The victim was residing in Kambala village. The railway police took the body in their possession and shifted it to the Phase 6 Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

The police said further proceedings were being carried out according to the Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
