Panchkula: With 520 new cases, the district recorded its highest single-day surge on Wednesday. At least 10 health workers and 16 ITBP personnel were among those who tested positive. The district also witnessed six Covid deaths. Among those who succumbed to the virus was a 28-year-old man from Pinjore, who had no known comorbidities. TNS

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
