Seven new Covid cases surfaced in various parts of the Fatehgarh Sahib today, taking the district tally to 262
Those infected are a 26-year-old from the Brahman Majra area of Sirhind, a 49-year-old from Fatehgarh Sahib, a 23-year-old woman from Boran village, a 30-year-old woman from Randhawa village, a 19-year-old from Ajnali village, a 32-year-old from Gandhi Nagar and a 35-year-old from the Prem Nagar area of Mandi Gobindgarh.
The Civil Surgeon, Dr NK Aggarwal, said all patients had been admitted to Gian Sagar Hospital. He said the samples of all contacts of positive patients would be taken.
He said till today, 16,047 samples had been collected, of which 14,980 were negative and 262 positive. As 186 patients had cured, there were now 74 active cases in the district. — OC
