78-yr-old dies in hit-and-run

Chandigarh, April 8

In a hit-and-run case, a 78-year-old pedestrian was killed after being hit by an unknown vehicle on the road separating Sector 47 and 48.

According to the police, complainant Anil Sharma, a resident of Sector 47, reported that the vehicle sped away after hitting his father Sudarshan Sharma on April 6.

The victim was injured and admitted to Government Multi-Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The police have registered a case at the Sector 49 police station. —TNS
