City golfer Aadil Bedi will start the season by participating in the Hero Indian Open 2020 to be hosted by DLF golf and country club Gurugram from March 19 to 22. The 19-year-old golfer will be seen rubbing his shoulder with the best professional golfers of Europe, Asian tour and PGTI Players.
“I have already prepared well on this course for a training session. I will prepare for one more week as my coach Bob Byman is coming here to observe my training sessions before the tournament. It will be a tough competition as Indian golfers Shubankar Sharma, Gaganjeet Bhullar, SSP Chawrasia, Jyoti Randhawa and Arjun Atwal will be also among the frontrunners. This will be biggest prize money event on the Indian soil,” said Bedi. He had some super finished on PGTI event last year as he claimed 4th position at the Jeev Milkha Singh Invitational at Chandigarh, 4th on ITC Classics International at Gurugram and four top-ten in other various tournaments. With this finish, he will also retain the Asian Tour card for 2020 and will get eight full field events apart from minimum eight PGTI domestic events– which include Jeev Milkha Singh invitational and Tata Steel Tour Championship
“I have upgraded my equipment and hi-tech lab. Now it includes trackman, KVest and sensor level plates and some computer software for analysis of swing installed. I was close to win two matches last year but lost by a narrow margin. Currently I am imporving my fitness and observing a good result as I hit my driver over 300 yard,” said Bedi.
