Chandigarh, January 22
Aadil Bedi, who was recently honoured by the Chandigarh Golf Association (CGA) for winning accolades at international and national circuits, will be attending a week-long training camp in London ahead of the Professional Golf Tour of India (PGTI) events.
“I will be attending a week-long session in London before restarting the PGTI season,” said Bedi during the CGA felicitation ceremony.
He will be featuring in 10 PGTI events, starting with the Tata Steel PGTI Players Championship in Kolkata from February 13. He will be featuring in the Vooty Masters in Vikarabad (Telangana) from February 21. He will also take part in a PGTI event starting on February 29. He will then feature in the Gujarat Open (March 6), Delhi Challenge (March 14), Kolkata Challenge (March 21), the Hero India Open at Gurugram (March 28) and the PGTI Players Championship at his home ground, CGC, from April 3.
Later in April, he will play in the Bengaluru Open. Out of these events, two will be PGTI and Challenge Tour joint sanctioned events (Delhi Challenge and Kolkata Challenge carrying prize money of $300,000 each). “I have improved my short game in the last couple of months, and I’m hitting the ball very long as my fitness level has improved under the guidance of Sagar Dewan and Dr Gurmeet Singh. I will try to finish high in the PGTI Order of Merrier so that I can be invited to the trial for selection to the Indian team for the Olympics and the Commonwealth Games,” said Bedi, who had won a silver medal for Chandigarh in the Goa National Games.
