Civil Surgeon Dr Sangeeta Jain said the primary goal of the training was to empower healthcare service providers with the knowledge needed to educate women and couples, enabling them to make informed and healthy family planning decisions.

During the workshop, the doctors received hands-on guidance on comprehensive antenatal care, including the importance of essential check-ups during pregnancy — monitoring blood pressure, weight and identifying high-risk cases.

The session also covered key topics such as nutrition, immunisation, early detection of danger signs and postnatal care.
