On a call given by the state unit of AAP, the district unit of the party, led by Jaswinder Singh Balahra, district president, today staged a dharna against the Modi government.

The protesters demanded the rollback of the hike in fuel prices. All top leaders of AAP, including NS Tiwana, Rashpinder Singh, Ajay Libra, Lakhbr Singh Rai and Amrinder Singh Mandofal, took part in the protest and later submitted a memorandum to the DC.

The leaders said the Modi government was profiteering from the miseries of people by repeatedly increasing excise duty on petrol and diesel. — TNS
